Other World Music contains the collective sound works of Stuart Norfolk.
Call the music what you will, and people often do; from shamanic to surreal, ambient to atmospheric, cinematic to haunting and evocative, it most definitely is, above all else, relaxing and 'other worldly' in its nature.
Stuart originally started developing and exploring sound through project work for exhibitions and music for spaces.
"On one such project I found myself writing the sound of an artists paintings. I was supposed to be writing sound for the whole exhibition, but ended up presenting my work with the artist, John Krcma, as an installation piece instead. It was really from that point that I knew what I wanted to do."
Stuarts music tends to be very visual. It evokes images - memories. It is cinematic and so lends itself very naturally towards the medium of film.
“My works, be they projects, or albums, as well as being visual often contain a thread, or a path – a journey if you like, through sound. It definitely is quite distinctive and unique.”
